Rothe are common herd animals in the cold North and the Underdark. They are squat built creatures that resemble musk oxen, with curving horns, cloven hooves, and long, shaggy coats of thick hair. Surface rothe are bigger than their subterranian cousins, have longer legs, and heavier coats.
