A solitary, intelligent, enigmatic creature that resembles the classical sea monster: serpentine body, webbed flippers, dragonlike head. They are quite intelligent and enjoy engaging crew members of passing ships in conversation, but they are fiercely territorial and all ships that pass through their territory must pay a toll.
