Resembling an amalgam of eagle and vulture, ebon lightning flickering about them, the passage of these birds causes the dead to rise, randomly inbuing corpses with varying degrees of unholy might. When it comes to roost the horde of undead catches up with it and slays it. Sometime later when another bird dies at that spot it will then rise as a black phoenix.
