A ten-legged beetle-like creature with a hard, shiny red shell, two pincers, and a horn-like protrusion. They are an offshoot of large beetles which were overexposed to transmutation and sonic magics. They are able to channel sonic energy through their "horn". Lesser knell beetles are the worker drones of the colony.
