Though mostly human in appearance, these also have feathers of red and gold lining the backs of their arms, legs, and jaw, and thicker feathers grow in place of its hair. They are thought to be descendants of the phoenix. Their proud bearing and the intense heat they can generate make these rumors seem likely true. Upon death, a phoelarch bursts into flame and leaves behind a black egg which can hatch into a phoera.
