From a distance these resemble fgiant snapping turtles, but the creature's head has shark-like features such as a gaping maw filled with rows of razor sharp teeth. These creatures patrol the River Styx, attacking boats that attempt to cross it and huntng natives of the river. Charonadaemons sometimes employ them as guards.
