Scry Disruptor

This extremely thin and flat gold plate is a hand span wide in diameter and covered with arcane runes that suggest similarities to the non-detection spell (Knowledge Arcane DC 24). A single dent in its very center provides it an axis for being spun upon. To activate this item, the disk must be placed on a mostly flat surface and set spinning. Once the disk begins to spin it magically sustains its inertia and will continue to spin indefinitely unless physically interrupted (for example) by hand, a strong earthquake or by a gust of wind. As long as the disk spins it creates an area of effect that is protected as though under the effects of a non-detection spell cast by a 15th level spellcaster. Thus spellcasters who attempt to scry or use spells such as clairaudience/clairvoyance, locate object, or detect spells on anything within the area of effect protected by this item must first succeed on a caster level check (1d20 + caster level) against a DC26. The disk protects one room or an area no larger than a 20 foot radius.
The magical effect of this device immediately ends if the disk stops spinning or if the disk is moved from its original activated position. Once stopped, the magic of the disk is expended and it is no longer a magical item.
