Appearance
The Nahak resembles a titanic, hairless gorilla with a great thicket of horns growing down the upper half of their back. Its coloration is like burning embers, blood red and charcoal black. Like a gorilla, the Nahak walks upon all fours, using it's front knuckles. Nahak rarely walk on twos, but will often squat on their hind legs while fighting or eating.

Combat
Nahak tactics (if they can be called tactics) involve charging into the midst of their foes, crushing and trampling as many as possible, and then eating the remains.
Breath Weapon (Su): Once every 1d4 rounds, in exchange for one of its fist attacks, the Nahak can spit a large fireball. This attack has a range of 1000 ft. and effects a 30 ft. radius spread for 15d6 points of damage (Reflex DC 35 for one-half damage).
Roar (Ex): A Nahak, as a full round action, can emit a deafening roar once every other round. This sonic attack is a cone with a range of 100 ft. and a diameter of 100 ft. at its terminus. Targets are deafened and suffer 4d8+7 points of damage (Fortitude DC 35 for one-half damage).
Trample (Ex): As a full-round action the Nahak can move up to twice its speed and run over opponents who are at least one size category smaller than itself. The trample causes 4d8+22 points of damage. Opponents who do not make attacks of opportunity (made at -4 penalty) against the Nahak can attempt a Reflex save (DC 35) to halve the damage.
Swallow Whole (Ex): On a successful attack and grapple (using its improved grab ability) the Nahak can opt to sweep targets of size Huge or smaller into its mouth. On the following round, if the victim has not escaped, they are bitten (4d8+22 damage) and swallowed whole if the Nahak makes a second successful grapple attempt. A swallowed creature suffers 2d8+10 points of crushing damage and 2d8+8 points of acid damage each round it is within the Nahak's gullet. A swallowed creature escape into the mouth of the Nahak with a successful grapple check or it can cut itself out by dealing 50 points of damage to the Nahak's digestive tract (AC 24). Only natural or small weapons can be used in the confines of a Nahak's stomach. Muscular action causes the wound to close after the character has exited. Other swallowed beings must cut their own way out. A Nahak's stomach can hold two Huge, four Large, eight Medium, or sixteen Small or smaller creatures.
Fearful Presence (Su): The Nahak can inspire terror by charging or attacking. Affected creatures must succeed at a Will save (DC 24) or become shaken, remaining shaken until they are out of sight and hearing of the Nahak.
Immunities: Nahak suffer no damage from heat or cold.

Habitat/Society
The Nahak is little more than a titanic beast of burden in the lower planes. They are often captured and then used as living siege engines by the Tanar'ri of the Abyss. Nahak are natives to the 374th layer of the Abyss, a level filled with the tormented spirits of evil giants, great mountains of burning coals, and endless plains of glass shards where the earth screams in infernal torment. Here, in this terrible place, the nahak can be found traveling in large packs, numbering in the hundreds. The trail of destruction left behind simply by the size of these beasts are also used as byways for traveling through the Plains of Glass and Torment, since their passage provides a relatively open pathway.

Ecology
Though Nahak are demonic and therefore do not require sustenance to survive, they eat anything available unless it fights back enough or unless there is something controlling the Nahak to stop it. A Nahak, in its native surroundings, rarely uses its breath weapon for combat, but rather emits flames from its mouth as a kind of exhaust created from its great consumption of material.

History
One of these monstrosities was brought to the Prime by the Dark God during the time known as the Black Scourge. With this great beast among its host of evil, the Dark God's forces were able to fell even the most strongly build fortifications. The sight of this beast on the horizon wrecked havoc on the moral of mortals who opposed the Dark God. Eventually the beast was banished back to the Abyss by a gathering of wizards.
