Blackwood Bow A great curse fell upon the forests of the Arends, perhaps at the
displeasure of the gods for the falling of the lands to the powers
of Zhakrin, but whatever the case the story remains the same. Once
there was a glen of burnt forest where a great many of the Arend
were slain by the fires. This destroyed forest glen remains haunted
by the ghosts of the dead, but it is legend that any who harvest the
burnt wood from the dead trees of the glen and fashion it into a bow
will have for themselves a magical creation. It is said that bows
created from this wood have the ability to automatically set aflame
any arrow which is fired from it upon will. Flaming arrows do an additional
1d6 fire damage.
