Earthen Canopic Jar This small clay pot is about 10 inches tall and 4 inches wide. The lid crudely
screws on and inside is very fine dust. When the jar is opened a Large Elemental
(Monster Manual, page 82) is summoned forth with a whirl of dust and a gentle
trembling of the earth. If the elemental is slain, the jar forever loses its
magic. The elemental is capable of performing simple tasks and it follows
verbal directions from whoever is in possession of the jar. Directions are
followed to the letter and to their logical conclusion. Damage suffered by
the elemental heals at a rate of 8 points per day, however, commanding the
elemental to submerge itself in earth and casting a move earth spell
on the area it inhabits will restore it to perfect health.
