Amulet of Passage This palm-sized amulet is crafted of silver, with small nibs that bluntly
radiate a short distance outward from its circumference. The center of the
amulet rotates freely, making a soft ticking sound as it does that is not unlike
that of a security safe combination dial. Arcane symbols are scribed around the
inside perimeter of the part of the amulet that can be rotated.
Once per day this amulet can be keyed to a
particular door. The user need only press the amulet to the chosen door and
turn its inner dial. Having done so, the user and the amulet vanish from the
side of the door they were on and reappear on the other side of the door via a
very limited form of teleportation. Once keyed, the amulet will only allow
passage back and forth through that particular door for the next 24 hours.
After 24 hours has passed the amulet can be keyed to a different door. The
amulet may be employed any number of times to bypass a particular door, but
only one creature is transported along with the amulet each time.
