The son of Lord Gilantyr Sr, Amual never got along with his father. Amual joined the church of Lathidus, forsaking his fathers decree against such a hated action. Lord Gilantyr expeled Amaul from their keep in Tel-Akbar after discovering him praying at his mother's bed-side (she was striken with tuberculosis). From there he went to Challsea and became an acolyte and respected follower. He bears great ill against his father and blames him for the death of his mother. Amual is a postulant of Lathidus.
