These resemble oak trees at first glance. Closer examination reveals depressions in the tree's trunk that resemble a distorted human face. In combat, this face opens to reveal a jagged maw. Peaceful unless provoked, quickwoods can be persueded by powerful creatures to become border guardians or forest spies. Note: Denizens of Darkness lists Quickwood as CR 10, a climate of Any Forest, and with similar but differing abilities.
