The single most powerful devil of all of the Nine Hells, he reigns as the undisputed master of the pit. He is certainly older than ay devil in hell, though some say he is not the plane's first ruler, others say that indeed he is the primal force of evil in the multiverse. His manipulations are labyrinthine, insidious, and work on a grand scale. In The Encyclopedia of Demons and Devils, Asmodeus (CR 20) is detailed as the son of Naamah. Therein he is described as a three headed beast with heads of an ogre, bull, and ram; his center ogre head wearing a great golden crown that deceives all who see it into thinking that its wearer is their true love.
