Often sought for his power over the hearts and minds of mortals, he is known for his skill at twisting emotions. He is also gifted with powers of prophecy. He is one of Solomon's 72 spirits described in the Goetia. In D&D lore he is a general in Geryon's army, completely loyal to the "Great Serpent" and his citadel sits atop a flat-topped mountain on Hell's fifth plane where he commands 40 companies of osyluths. Note: Amon's listing in the Encyclopedia of Demons & Devils II differs, showing a size of Huge, different powers, and a Challenge Rating of 14.
