This creature appears under a number of forms,, one of which is a giant crow or crane that stands four feet tall. He is also known as a three headed dog standing 20 feet tall, which some scholars claim to be that of the Greek Cerberus. Though his forms may be different, he is a marquis of hell and is recognized as granting skill in sciences and fine arts. Tales say that men who make deals with Naberus in exchange for the restoration of lost honor, knowledge, wisdom, or talent, nearly always meet premature deaths in torturous ways.
