In Christian tradition he is the principal opponent of the celestial hosts, yet was once their greatest ally. Believing his celestial master to be a despotic overlord he vainly attempted a rebellion and was cast into hell with those that joined his cause. He usually appears as a well-muscled humanoid of indeterminate age, often with bat-wings and sometimes with short horns atop his head. Note: Lucifer's entry in the Encyclopedia of Demons & Devils differs and grants him a size of Huge and a CR of 15.
