Once deva like beings who devoted themselves to arcane arts and were changed, now mysterious patrons to arcanists, now serving magic rather than higher powers. The thaerestian are particularly interested in things near to the heart of the ultimate expression of magic - wish spells, power words, soul magic. They appear as graceful humans with wings thazt hang upon them as a fluttering, tattered cloak of dark energy. They are aloof, cold, and can be quick to anger. They are usually solitary.
