Resembling a large custacean with pincerlike calws and a thick coat of slime glistening over tis translucent carapace. Dozens of tentacles dangle from its mouth. These occur when a mature chuul is implanted with an illithid tadpole. Mind flayers use them as hunters and lair guardians. They are weaker and less destrous than their more common chuul kin.
