They are less powerful than their origin beings and sometimes find their ways into the Material Plane where they pursue lesser goals that their origin being might pursue were it worthy of their attention. Mephistopheles is a fiend of crimson skin with curling horns, white eyes, red leathery wings, and swathed in flame. He is patron to fire and magic. Note: the Aspect of Mephistopheles presented in the Miniatures Handbook is CR9, significantly less powerful than the one presented in Tyrants of the Nine Hells. That presented in the Tyrants of the Nine Hells is a unique aspect while that presented in the Miniatures Handbook is suitable for more mundane activities that require his direct hand.
