This creature is a magical crossbreed between the dragonfly insect and an actual dragon. They measure three to four feet long and have a subtly draconian head, but otherwise appear insectoid. Blue dragonflies roam far about looking for birds and prairie dogs to eat. They lay their eggs in ponds. Their breath weapon sometimes causes grass fires.
