These resemble a black, leafless tree characterized by unnatural and unsettling shapes. Their haunting song brings despair and melancholy to all creatures who hear its sound over the many miles of swamp that its sound travels. Victims of the song are compelled to seek out the night twist, whence it can feed upon them. Since night twists live forever, some of this species has lived for millenia, living for hundreds of centuries.
