Corporeal spirits of spiteful women who died in childbirth. At their neck is an additional mouth which they usually keep hidden behind their long hair. They then pose as living women, feeding off the life energy of newborn babies, transforming the poor wretches into pontianaks. Despite being undead, they are also known to be intensely sexual beings, revealing no outward signs of undeath.
