Part of the sky pantheon of Dahomey, this is a roaming trickster who was once worshiped as a god on the plains of Africa. He has a cheerful personality and is often up for a but of fun, such as blowing ships off course, delaying troop movements, swamping towns with sea water, and so forth. Badessy comes at first as a gale force wind, slowly becoming a summer breeze. His eyes float amidst billows of fog.
