These are severed left hands and claws of the dead that possess eyeballs sewn into their palms. They have been animated, en masse, and they fly about erratically, functioning as guardian monsters. Necromancer knuckles are special versions of this which have been further enchanted to reflect spells cast upon them back at their caster.
