Semi-transparent spirits which are spawned when a humanoid or monstrous humanoid is stricken dead from fear due to the effects of magical feat (specifically, phantasmal killer). They are aggressive undead which hate life, especially spellcasters, and they use their powers to feed on the wits of others or expose them to the same terrible fear which led to their death.
