Magical stones which have been possessed by the spirit of a fallen dwarf, gnome, giant, or goblin. When these creatures die a horrible death before they can complete some great task, their spirit sometimes takes up residence in the stone about it and slowly transform it into a shape symbolic of their previous life. They remain in the vicinity of where they were slain, frustrated by their inability to complete their task and terrorizing any who come too near.
