A giant elflike creature whose helm bears proud antlers of a great stag, riding upon the back of a phantom stallion and accompanied by four hounds the size of bears. The Wild Hunt sends the bravest heroes of the land fleeing before it. It typically chooses one highly skilled or mighty creature to stalk, then runs that creature down in an exciting chase. Masters of the hunt were fey monarchs who ruled their courts for centuries before the tedium of existence drove them to hunt powerful mortals.
