Lesser haunts are the ghost-like spirits of dead creatures which are unable to find rest for some reason, such as an unfulfilled oath or the need to pass on some message. They are bound to a particular location, which often prevents them from fulfilling the reason they have not passed on to the afterlife. They can cause fear, but do little other harm despite their often frightful appearance.
