Vaguely humanoid creatures covered in rigid exoskeletons. Their matte-black shells bristle with spines. Though they appear to be rigid, they are able to soften their spines, using them to create the appearance of hanging moss, curtains, spider webs, and so forth, and then lurk and wait for a creature to approach close enough to ensnare.
