Smaller cousins of the manta ray, having barbed, venomous tails. The average stingray's body is roughly 3 feet across and weighs about 25 pounds. It's tail is about the same length, with one or more poisonous barbs near its base. They feed on crustaceans and shellfish and generally ignore humanoids unless they are stepped upon while burrowed in shallow coastal sand.
