John Lords is the even handed and fair minded captain of the city guard for the town of Mendenton. He is a large man, having grown up a farmer's son, and is well liked among the populace of the town. His reputation is spotless and most consider him to be one of the most honest and honorable men in the region. Captain Lords is given of control of all military matters in Mendenton while Sir Nossant is not present.
