Crown of Souls: Part 4 - Missing Details
Domini is holding all of the magic items, including that black ring which Theo was wearing. He will continue to do so until he feels he can trust the group or until they are stolen back from him.
Chance was said to be too ill and in a fragile state from the combat with the stone creatures (which we have not seen him since). Domini also said that Chance was being held somewhere in the castle where he did not trust the group to be allowed into, regarding the state of trust he places in you. Likewise Chance, being so disposed, was not in a state of health where he could be moved so that the group could verify his well being, so we only have Domini's word that the best is being done for him. Domini's concern is, supposedly for Chance's health, he never spoke of him as if to infer that Chance was a token to hold the party to their word.
The amulet has two properties. First of which Taren mentioned being that it enabled a person possessing the appropriate means to view the bearer (perhaps even hear their spoken word, etc) as well as anyone within some proximity to the bearer. The second property, which is also know but was not mentioned, is that whoever the amulet is presented to must do as the bearer commands, with a saving throw, regardless they will hold the bearer in good graces. The only hitch to the second power is that the subject of the "charm" must be previously prepared to be subject to the charm's powers.
As yet unexplored and unmentioned by Taren, we also suspect to know where Sardock's quarters are --quite near to the room with the empty bed frame which has become the new rendevouz (sp?) point. Perhaps the weapons are being kept there? We have been unable to explore there since Sardock, we suspect, was in there at the time.
And also, remember that when taking those papers from the hidden laboratory, Taren left as many blank sheets of paper in their stead.
Everything in the front and several rooms at floor level which reside in the back of the keep have been explored. Rooms unexplored must exist beyond the dining room, there are the dungeons of the place, whose door sanjian was unable to unlock, there was a door with brass plates on it at the end of the hallway near the library which went unexplored, and there was a door in the chapel room which went unexplored due to the running away from that thing that appeared.
