Campaign Introduction

In the year of our Lord, 8336 Founding, as reckoned by those in the United Kingdoms, we begin our adventure in the Month of Mordun, the first month of Autumn.
The weather is just starting to chill. Mornings and nights are colder than the summer days which have passed us by.
Each of you has left home or work to seek your fortune. The greatest city in the region, Tel-Akbar, was your destination. After some efforts you found your way to the Mercenaries hall there in that great city. There you could get in contact with fellow beings who also sought adventure. It was not long before you found yourself in the company of like-minded adventurers and soon you had formed a troupe.
A Daernarthoran dwarven warrior, by the name of Gerom, from the mountainous mining town of Garnet; a fervent and practiced Mentalist, named Alexander, raised by elves despite his being human; a maiden elfin ranger, named Foline, who is sister to Alexander; a convicted thief, named Balan, who is trying to turn a new leaf and learn to make money by more legal methods; and a strangely tall and black skinned non-human man, named Quinn, who claims skill at the art of magic - all of you have gathered together and, finding each other tolerable, have formed up a group to seek adventure.
Your group gathered together, there was but one matter to discuss before heading out on the road of adventure - "Where shall we go?"
Tanos, the front officer of the Hall, overhearing your discussion, suggested that you try visiting the town of Mendenton - a small village to the north of Tel-Akbar. He tells you that he has heard word from other mercenaries that there is work there for those of an adventurous spirit.
Mendenton... most of you only know the place as a stop-through trading town on the banks of the Sirrion River, north of Tel-Akbar. Since most of you are from small towns and find the vastness of Tel-Akbar to be overwhelming, you have agreed that perhaps this smaller town would be a good place to start.
Leaving the bustle of Tel-Akbar behind you have traveled for four days along the patrolled roads to Mendenton.

We'll begin our adventure at the gates of the city.
