Letter to Shernioth from Titalus
The following letter was found upon the body of a Shel-Tuul, one of four that were attempting to despoil the three hallowed druids groves which
bolstered the wards protecting the Shrine of Passion.
Shernioth;
Blessings of Qo to strengthen you.
Our black lord is impressed with the great strength that the clutch vines have grown to and is pleased that soon the Font of Life will be ours. The shades of our brothers call for physical form and yearn to return to the bloodwar beneath our sleeping lords banner.
We have learned that there are three sites which are without the sleeping earth and which help empower the wards. These must be defiled, not just to weaken the defenses of the shrine, but to prevent easy access to the shrine by any enemy that knows their use. With these destroyed we will be able to open further gates to allow the servants of our sleeping lord to travel from the Black Anvil Gates to where they are truly needed.
We are sending a powerful servitor to ensure your continued success and vigilance. Maelthrath, you will know it and too by its red staff. It will be the eyes of our sleeping lord upon you.
