Communitis of intelligent insects, somewhat similar to ant colonies. Unlike ants, the large parasitic members of a hivebrood live by infesting other beings, controlling, and eventually destroying the hosts in the process. Broodlings are the altered hosts of a hivebrood larvae. They can be recognied by the fibrous membranes that covere their eyes and by their chitinous skin.
