Mind flayers of Thoon are those which traveled into the Far Realm and were changed by their experiences there. Now returned, they live a twisted existence different from other mind flayers. Thralls are humanoids which have been changed, the foot soldiers that Thoon infiltrators direct. They remain in their guise until discovered or ordered into battle, then they undergo a final transformation and go out in a blaze of glory. This acquired template can be added to any humanoid creature that a Thoon infiltrator could reasonably render helpless for one minute.
