Appearance
Mealafist are red scaled demonic beings of strange design. A pair of fanged wings extend from their hindquarters, accompanied by a long tail that ends in a leaf shaped barb. From their stomach area extends a flexible neck to which their head is attached. Their face is faceted with many red-slitted eyes which allow it to see in all directions. Two elongated and gaping mouths are present, opening slightly to either side of its front. Two horns of black bone protrude straight from the back of its skull. Above its stomach, the Mealafist possesses from its shoulders a pair of long, gangly arms which hang past their feet when relaxing in flight. The Mealafist's legs extend as one would expect from just below its hindquarters and end in mostly inadequate, small, clawed feet. Mealafist prefer to fly about and avoid confronting creatures where they must be on foot.
Mealafist can telepathically communicate with any creature that has a language. Their mouths can only vocalize whimpering and a choking gargle of sound.
Mealafist are typically found in swarms that attend to the Blight, stirring it with lengthy poles of iron. They also compose the greatest bulk of Incasos armies.

Combat
Mealafist prefer to attack en masse rather than engage even weak enemies alone.
Poison (Ex): Sting, Fortitude save (DC 13); initial damage paralysis; secondary damage 2d4 temporary Dexterity.
Shadow Breath (Ex): A Mealafist can breath a cloud of mind-affecting vapors that fills a 10 ft. conical area. Creatures within the area of effect must succeed a Will save (DC 13) or their fears and paranoias manifest as shadowy visions in the air about them. Affected creatures are shaken and suffer a -2 morale penalty to all attacks, saves, and checks for 1d6+4 rounds.
Aura of Complacency (Su): As a free action a Mealafist can radiate a 10 foot aura of complacency. Creatures which fail a Will save (DC 11) stand in place and perform no actions except to defend themselves for 1d4+1 rounds. Creatures exposed the aura cannot be affected again by that Mealafist's aura for one day.
Spell-like abilities: At will - Alarm, Disguise Self, Flare. These abilities are as the spells cast by a 1st-level sorcerer (save DC 10 + spell level).
Summon Incasos (Sp): Once per day a Mealafist can attempt to summon 1d6 other Mealafist with a 35% chance of success.
Incasos Qualities: Immune to poison, fire, cold, and petrification. Acid and electricity resistance 10. Receives saving throws to avoid magic meant to imprison, hold, entrap, or banish, even when a saving throw is not normally allowed. Incasos can see normally in all forms of darkness, even that created by a deeper darkness spell.
Skills: Because of their many eyes, Mealafist receive a +4 racial bonus to all Spot checks.

Habitat/Society
Mealafist fulfill the role of tending to the Blight. They stir and nurture the Blight, keeping it supple and healthy. Often they are watched over and accompanied by more than one Infaeludor and one or more Taturak. Mealafist do the work which no other Incasos wishes to do and are the general laborers of the Incasos society.
Mealafist are only slightly more cunning than animals and while easily provoked into hostile action, they are completely subservient to all higher ranking Incasos. Mealafist are often tortured and abused by the volatile Infaeludor and Taturak.

Ecology
Mealafist which do well in combat or at their duty of caring for the Blight may be rewarded upon their death with ascension into the form of an Infaeludor. Mealafist are unlikely candidates for advancement and rarely ascend beyond their station. Many greater ranking Incasos joke that a Mealafist wouldn't know how to promote itself even it understood that promotion was a possibility. A slain Mealafist rises again from the Blight at the dawn of the next day.
